Starting from the Academic year 2019/2020, the University adheres, together with other Roman pontifical universities, to the Joint Diploma The thought of St. Thomas Aquinas Doctor Humanitatis, with the participation of the International Society of Thomas Aquinas (SITA) . The initiative is part of the twentieth anniversary of the Encyclical Fides et Ratio and is proposed as its specific fruit. In fact, it intends to deepen the harmony between faith and reason in the perspective of St. Thomas, with the aim of making known and appreciating the philosophical and theological thought of Aquinas
The Relational Ontology Research Group (ROR) of the University has co-organized with the Faculty of Divinity of the University of Cambridge the Congress New Trinitarian Ontologies, which took place on September, 13-15, 2019 at the Babbage Lecture Theater in Cambridge. Aprender Roma is the name of the training initiative for Spanish priests hosted by the University in the week from July 22 to 27, 2019. In addition to sessions held by professors of the School of Church Communications, the participants meet several journalists who deal with religious information in Rome and representatives of the Roman Curia, including the Prefect of the Papal Household, Georg Gäenswein. Present, among others, the Bishop of Getafe and President of the Episcopal Commission of Media of Spain, Ginés Beltrán.
Organized by Polis Institute of Jerusalem, on July there will be Intensive Courses of Latin, Greek and Hebrew. Classes are conducted directly in Latin, Greek or Hebrew. The Polis Institute employs the most cutting-edge techniques for living languages. Also in this month of June 2019, the University welcomes a group of American seminarians for the Roman stage of The Rome Experience, the formative itinerary that takes place since 2009. The initiative foresees for this edition courses on the New Evangelization and human virtues beyond, pilgrimages to the Marian Shrines, the Major Basilicas and the Roman catacombs, as well as a spiritual retreat. On Friday, May 24, 2019 (3.30 pm, Aula Bendetto XVI), on the occasion of World Africa Day, the University hosts the Start Up Africa reflection meeting, promoted by the Harambee Africa International Association. The winner of the "Harambee Award for Micro-Entrepreneurship", Wycliffe Nyabade Guguni, Kenyan, co-founder of a community cooperative dedicated to the disposal of solid waste in the Kibra slum in Nairobi will also be awarded.
