In evidenza

On Wednesday, February 21, 2024 (at 9:30 am, in the Aula Magna Giovanni Paolo II), a new event on communication and migrants took place, titled Migrants and Refugees Between Solidarity and Fear, promoted in collaboration with the ISCOM Association and the Committee on Information, Migrants, and Refugees.

Starting from this academic year, our University has introduced multimedia interactive whiteboards in classrooms A209 (second floor) and A305 (third floor) for use by both faculty and students.

The new equipment will enable traditional lectures to be conducted with the aid of advanced technology. Simultaneously, interactive hybrid classes (in-person and streaming) can be facilitated.

The provision of these whiteboards will also allow for the recording of lectures and courses, which can be later disseminated to a broader audience.

This initial investment, currently in the experimental phase, may be expanded over time to include other classrooms. It positions the University of the Holy Cross as technologically advanced and a pioneer in such innovation among the other Pontifical Roman Universities.

The project is coordinated by the Department of Educational Resources, under the supervision of the Academic Vice-Rector.

16 executive leaders from the IFCU membership coming from Africa, Latin America, North America and Europe gathered this week at the Pontifical Irish College.

The participants were involved in an interactive pedagogy during this action-oriented program which covered the following topics: Institutional Strategic Development, Catholic Identity and Higher Education, Aspects of the Context of managing Catholic Universities, Role of the Rector and senior leadership in effective institutional change and development, Personal effectiveness of the Institutional Leader.

They could share together analysis, programs, experiences.

One of the working days was hosted, on Wednesday, September 21, at the Holy Cross, with a meeting with the representatives of the institutions belonging to the CRUIPRO (Conference of Rectors of Universities and Roman Pontifical Institutions), of which our rector, Luis Navarro, is President.

On Monday, October 4, 2021, the Inauguration Ceremony opening the 2021/2022 Academic Year took place.

The traditional votive Mass of the Holy Spirit was held in Sant'Apollinare Basilica (9.30 a.m.), presided by the Grand Chancellor of the University, Mons. Fernando Ocáriz, and con-celebrated by clergy from the different schools.

In Aula Magna 'Giovanni Paolo II', the Solemn Academic Act took place (11 a.m.). Prof. Giorgio Faro, from the School of Philosophy, gave the inaugural speech on the theme Indagine sul senso del lavoro, attraverso immagini allusive e paradossi.

The Academic Act was ollowed in streaming to the following link.
