Conference of the School of Canon Law on "Divine Law in Ecclesial Law," March 31 – April 1, 2025

On March 31 and April 1, 2025 (8:45 AM, Aula Magna "Giovanni Paolo II"), the 29th Study Conference of the School of Canon Law will take place, focusing on the theme Divine Law in Ecclesial Law: The Concept of Law and Canonical Practice.
The conference aims to explore the topic of divine law in the Church. Despite the extensive bibliography on the subject, there remains room for further research with a twofold objective: first, to clarify in what sense divine law is truly law, highlighting the significance of the legal conception through which it is examined; and second, to emphasize the practical importance of different understandings of divine law across all areas of canon law, presenting divine law as an essential and permanent component for addressing ecclesiastical legal matters with justice.
