Expert meeting "Rethinking Evangelization: Roles, Formation, and Mission of the People of God"

In response to current social and ecclesial challenges, renewed theological reflection has increasingly focused on evangelization as a shared mission of the entire People of God. Particular attention has been given to key issues such as relationships in contemporary society, the formation of the laity, and cooperation between laypeople, priests, and religious in proclaiming the Gospel.
These themes were addressed during an Expert Meeting entitled “The Proclamation of the Gospel and the Relationships It Generates: Roles, Formation, and Mission of the Members of the People of God”, organized by the Research Group “Towards a Theology of Evangelization”, part of the Santa Croce Research Laboratory. The meeting took place on 16–17 April 2026 at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Aula Benedetto XVI, 1st Floor).
The event aimed to promote academic dialogue and contributed to a clearer understanding of evangelization in today’s ecclesial and cultural context.
