Presented by Prof. Juan Manuel Mora, Vice-Rector for Communication and coordinator of Alumni activities, Tiziana De Marino, ISSRA alumna, and Jaime Moya, assistant professor at the School of Theology, explained the work they both do as promoters of initiatives and activities of the Alumni community.
Among the topics addressed:
-
History of the Alumni Association, founded in 2013 to establish a connection with former students of Santa Croce.
-
Evolution of the Alumni concept, extended to all those who have completed their studies at the University.
-
Updated data on the Alumni community, with a total of 10,215 former students distributed among the various study cycles completed and countries.
Furthermore, the three pillars that drive the work of Santa Croce Alumni were illustrated: education, networking, and communication.
Regarding the first point, two projects were presented: the Alumni Library, which seeks to offer a wide range of documents published by university professors, accessible through the Discere platform, and the offering of online courses exclusively for alumni.
As a networking activity, the event "Welcome to... Alumni Santa Croce" was introduced, which in June - the next one is scheduled for June 21, 2024 - welcomes into the community all those who complete their studies at Santa Croce with a ceremony in the Aula Magna; and reference was made to the usefulness of professors' trips abroad as an opportunity to organize meetings with local alumni.
The third pillar concerns active listening to the community, with continuous collection of feedback on activities and services offered. A bi-monthly newsletter is also active, as well as a section on the University website that is continuously updated.
The next Santa Croce Incontra is scheduled for May 16, 2024.
