Published the volume “Finalità e modelli di governo nella Chiesa. Prospettive incrociate sulla metodologia”

In March of this year, the new volume Finalità e modelli di governo nella Chiesa. Prospettive incrociate sulla metodologia, edited by Thierry Sol and Pierpaolo Cilla, with an introductory essay by Carlo Fantappiè, was published.
The 228-page volume brings together a selection of papers presented during the Expert Meeting held on May 2–3, 2025, at the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce and organized by the research group Purpose and Models of Governance in the Church. The initiative gathered professors, researchers, and doctoral students from various disciplines, including ecclesiology, history, philosophy, canon law, civil law, and administrative sciences.
At the heart of the work is a methodological dialogue between different perspectives on ecclesial governance, structured around three main axes: the very meaning of governing in the Church, the relationship between center and periphery, and issues of responsibility, accountability, and transparency.
The book is promoted by the Università di Navarra and the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce, coordinated by Professors Joaquín Sedano, Antonio Viana, Fernando Puig, and Thierry Sol. Its aim is to deepen, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the study of forms of ecclesial governance, with particular attention to the mechanisms of the exercise and oversight of power within the Church.
The book has been published in the Subsidia Canonica series (no. 57 – Proceedings) and is also available in Ebook (IBS), Kindle (Amazon) and Apple Books (Apple).
