On Wednesday, May 22, 2024 (at 11:30 AM, Álvaro del Portillo Hall), in celebration of the annual World Africa Day, the School of Communication and Harambee Africa International  are organizing a conference titled "The Implications of the Mattei Plan for African Development."
The discussion will focus on the fundamental importance of education for the genuine and sustainable development of the continent. The event also aims to examine how the Mattei Plan can alter the relationships between Italy and Africa, promoting shared growth

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, a day dedicated to blood donation was organized as part of University Life activities and in collaboration with Ema-Roma.
The initiative was aimed at students and teaching and non-teaching staff of Santa Croce. The blood collected was delivered by Ema-Roma to the city hospitals San Filippo Neri and Santo Spirito. Poster
On Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, a group of university students, accompanied by the Rector Luis Navarro and the Director of Promotion & Development Álvaro Sanchez-Carpintero, visited the Secretariat of State of the Holy See. They were welcomed by the Substitute, Bishop Edgar Peña Parra.

On Friday, May 10th, 2024, the annual University Feast was held in memory of Blessed Álvaro del Portillo, our founder and first Grand Chancellor.
As a special guest, the artist and sculptor JAGO, pseudonym of Jacopo Cardillo, was invited, known for his numerous exhibitions and installations in various countries. The French Institute, through Campus France, has announced a competition for the awarding of several research scholarships for doctoral students and/or graduates of Pontifical Universities to fund a stay in France (ranging from 1 to 3 months, from August to December 2024).

Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 (at 3:00 PM, Álvaro del Portillo auditorium), an afternoon study session on The Thought of Positivity took place.
Professor Juan Andrés Mercado moderated the interventions on Thinking Joy by Isabella Guanzini from the University of Linz; Thinking Hope by Professor Elena Colombetti; and Thinking Trust by Professor Juan Narbona. This was followed by theatrical readings curated by Sara Lorusso.
