How have these manuscripts contributed to our knowledge of the world of Jesus and his first disciples? We will have a conversation between two world-class experts to answer this question.

Open to students from all pontifical universities, this course aimed to explore an emblematic text of the Scriptures - the Decalogue - from the different perspectives of Judaism and Christianity.
The Decalogue, repeated twice within the Torah/Pentateuch, has influenced both traditions' morals, spirituality, theology and doctrine; it is a basis for dialogue between them and contemporary culture.

On Thursday, October 24, 2024 (9:00 am, Aula Magna Giovanni Paolo II), the 2024 Doctoral Students' Day was held at the initiative of the four Schools. After the opening remarks, prof. Jaime Nubiola, emeritus professor of Philosophy at the University of Navarra, gave a lectio magistralis entitled The Intellectual Life of a PhD Student: Reading, Thinking, Writing.
Two round tables followed. One on The First Steps of the PhD, coordinated by profs. José María Díaz, Kenny Ang, and Jaime Moya, and the other on The Thesis Writing Process, coordinated by profs. Gema Bellido, Gonzalo de la Morena, and Claudio Tagliapietra.
On October 18, 2024, the annual gathering of CARF benefactors – Centro Académico Romano Fundación – was once again held at our University. This Spanish foundation, established in 1989, makes it possible each year for dozens of seminarians and priests from around the world to receive their education at the ecclesiastical schools of the University of Navarra and the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

The Rector, Rev. Prof. Fernando Puig, has appointed Prof. Filippo Serafini as Vice Director of the ISSR at Apollinare for the 2024-2028 term, replacing Rev. Prof. Giuseppe De Virgilio; and Prof. Rafael Díaz Dorronsoro as Academic Coordinator, replacing Prof. Valeria Ascheri.

From October 15 to December 10, 2024, the Center for Priestly Formation is organizing the 3rd edition of the Course on the Formation of Affection in Priests, led by Rev. Francisco Insa, professor of Spiritual Theology and psychiatrist.
Balanced affection can be defined as the harmonious relationship between reason and the heart (will, passions, emotions, and feelings). But how can it be properly developed? Is it possible to help others grow, even humanly, through pastoral work? How can one gauge a person's maturity? These questions will be addressed during the course sessions.

Starting from October 15, 2024, and continuing until April 2025, the Department of Church History is organizing a new series of seminars dedicated this year to the theme Vatican Diplomacy: Between Raison d'État and Salus Animarum.
The activities—six in total, open to both faculty and university students—will take place on Tuesday afternoons (3:00 PM, Room A207). It is possible to earn 3 ECTS credits.

Our University will host the classes of the second module titled The Gospel of Creation, scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024. The classes will be taught by Professor Prem Xalxo from the Gregorian University, Professor Arturo Bellocq
