El curso ofrece un estudio histórico-teológico de la teología elaborada en Latinoamérica a lo largo del siglo XX y principios del XXI.
En la 1ª parte se ofrecerá un repaso de la evangelización americana, la precaria situación de la Iglesia en el siglo XIX, y su resurgimiento en la primera mitad del siglo XX.
La 2ª parte constará de tres etapas:
a) La evolución eclesial y teológica de la segunda mitad del siglo XX, en que se abordarán las principales corrientes (teologías liberacionistas, teología del pueblo, teologías temáticas y locales), haciendo hincapié en las causas de su origen y en sus principales representantes;
b) el Celam: origen y evolución;
c) aportaciones y perspectivas de la teología en y desde Latinoamérica para el siglo XXI.

From 3 to 5 November 2022, the Institute of Liturgy, in collaboration with the Fundación Vía del Arte, organized the 2nd Meeting of Artists and Theologians entitled "The Home as a Place of Worship".
Artists, liturgists and art historians presented various practical projects related to the theme. The sessions was held in Spanish.

From 11 October 2022, and until April, the Department of Church History is organising a series of Seminars dedicated to the theme "Persecutors and the Persecuted: Stories of Religious Persecution in Modern and Contemporary Times".
The activities - six in total, open to both lecturers and university students - take place on Tuesday afternoons (3 p.m., Room A207). It is possible to earn 3 CFU credits.

For the sixth year, the University adheres to the Joint Diploma in Integral Ecology, the initiative shared between the Universities and the Pontifical Athenaeums of Rome based on the message of the Encyclical of Pope Francis Laudato si'.
The Diploma will be developed in six modules, corresponding to the six chapters of the Encyclical, divided into two lessons of two hours each.
It will be offered to students of pontifical universities as well as members of religious orders, priests, catechists, and pastoral workers who have completed a Bachelor or a High School degree.

16 executive leaders from the IFCU membership coming from Africa, Latin America, North America and Europe gathered this week at the Pontifical Irish College.
The participants were involved in an interactive pedagogy during this action-oriented program which covered the following topics: Institutional Strategic Development, Catholic Identity and Higher Education, Aspects of the Context of managing Catholic Universities, Role of the Rector and senior leadership in effective institutional change and development, Personal effectiveness of the Institutional Leader.
They could share together analysis, programs, experiences.
One of the working days was hosted, on Wednesday, September 21, at the Holy Cross, with a meeting with the representatives of the
