Applications are now open for the De Lubac Award, 2025 edition, promoted by the French Embassy to the Holy See through the French Institute - Centre Saint-Louis and aimed at students of Pontifical Universities, as well as universities and institutions in Rome.
The call for applications is active until July 19, 2024. It is reserved for doctoral students who have successfully defended a thesis between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
The research fields of interest encompass all disciplines mentioned in the apostolic constitution Veritatis gaudium on Universities and Ecclesiastical Faculties of December 8, 2017 (Article 70 of the Common Norms).
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, starting at 7:30 PM, the Office for Promotion & Development Italy organized the annual fundraising evening for scholarships to be awarded to priest students and seminarians attending our University.
This year's program included a concert by Maestro Olga Zdorenko inside the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare.

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024 (3:30 PM, Benedict XVI Hall), OMNES Magazine and the CASE Group active at the Faculty of Canon Law have organized a meeting with the President of the IOR, Jean-Baptiste Douville de Franssu, titled Transparency and Co-responsibility in the Support of the Church.

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, our Rector Luis Navarro and Dr. Massimo Aureli, the educational director of the Dante Alighieri Society, signed the agreement between the two institutions for the organization and delivery of Intensive Italian Courses for Santa Croce students, the PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) certification exams, and other courses held at the SDA headquarters.
Volume 9/2023 of Forum, Supplement to Acta Philosophica, has been published. This volume includes some of the most significant presentations from the Conference on the theme "The Concept of Ius in Thomas Aquinas," held in Rome in April 2023, jointly organized by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas.
The Conference aimed to explore the Thomistic concept of ius as the object of the virtue of justice and as the just thing in itself (ipsa res iusta) from the Secunda Secundae of the Summa Theologiae.

Tuesday, May 28, 2024 (2:30 PM - 6:30 PM, in the Álvaro del Portillo lecture hall) saw the Kantian Studies Day titled "Anthropology, Schematism, Natural Law, and the Idea of Peace in Kant," on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the philosopher's birth.
The speakers were Professors Gualtiero Lorini (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano), Anselmo Aportone (Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata), Gianluca Sadun Bordoni (Università degli Studi di Teramo), and Daniela Falcioni (Università della Calabria).
The event was moderated by Professor Gennaro Luise (Università della Santa Croce).
A group of 40 students from the School of Social Sciences at Strathmore University, traveling through Europe, visited our University on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
