The Grand Chancellor of the University, Mons. Fernando Ocáriz, has appointed Rev. Prof. Thierry Sol as Dean of the School of Canon Law for the 2024-2028 term, replacing Rev. Prof. Fernando Puig.
Rev. Prof. Philip Goyret has been appointed as University Chaplain, replacing Rev. Prof. Manuel Miedes, who will take on the role of Vice Chaplain.
These appointments will be effective from October 1, 2024.

From September 9 to 14, 2024 (9 AM - 6 PM, Álvaro del Portillo Hall), the 9th edition of The Church Up Close will take place. This seminar, conducted in English and promoted by the School of Communication in collaboration with ISCOM, is aimed at those who report on the Church.

From September 16 to 18, 2024 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Álvaro del Portillo Hall), the University will host the VI Meeting of the Latin American Communication Network (ODUCAL), organized this year in collaboration with the International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC) on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, to which Santa Croce also adheres.

On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the University hosted a group of journalism students and faculty from Brigham Young University, one of the largest private Christian universities in the United States, who are participating in a study abroad program titled "Global Faith, Identity and Media Study."
