On Thursday, December 5, 2024 (from 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM, Álvaro del Portillo Aula), our University hosted the lessons of the 2nd module of the 8th Edition of the Joint Diploma in Integral Ecology, an initiative shared by the Pontifical Universities and Institutes of Rome to spread the vision and mission of Pope FrancisLaudato si'. The lessons, entitled The Gospel of Creation, were given by Prof. Prem Xalxo of the Gregorian University, Prof. Arturo Bellocq of Santa Croce, and Prof. Linda Pocher of Auxilium.
From February 19th to May 28th, 2025, every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM, the Schools of Theology and Canon Law are organizing an optional course (3 ECTS) entitled Ecclesial Movements: A Journey of Faith. The Service of Ecclesiastical Law. On the afternoon of Monday, November 25, 2024, the Spanish cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot passed away. He was the prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue and titular deacon of San Girolamo della Carità, the chapel of our Library. A Comboni missionary, he was born in Seville 72 years ago. Created cardinal by Pope Francis on October 5, 2019, he took possession of the title of San Girolamo on February 8 of the following year, welcomed by the then Rector of the Church, Philip Goyret. Over the years, he has been a speaker at various initiatives promoted by the University, including specialized courses in religious information. The academic community prays for his eternal rest.
Monday, November 25, 2024, marks the celebration of the School of Philosophy. A Eucharistic celebration and a visit to the Parliamentary Library Complex are planned. On the occasion of our University's 40th anniversary, celebrated in the academic year 2024/25, we are launching the "University Life" Photography Contest, open to students, professors, and administrative staff. Entries will be accepted until Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
