On the afternoon of Monday, November 25, 2024, the Spanish cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot passed away. He was the prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue and titular deacon of San Girolamo della Carità, the chapel of our Library.
A Comboni missionary, he was born in Seville 72 years ago. Created cardinal by Pope Francis on October 5, 2019, he took possession of the title of San Girolamo on February 8 of the following year, welcomed by the then Rector of the Church, Philip Goyret.
Over the years, he has been a speaker at various initiatives promoted by the University, including specialized courses in religious information. The academic community prays for his eternal rest.
Monday, November 25, 2024, marks the celebration of the School of Philosophy. A Eucharistic celebration and a visit to the Parliamentary Library Complex are planned.

On Thursday 21 November 2024 (9:00 am, classroom Álvaro del Portillo), the International Seminar Unitatis Redintegratio promoted by the School of Theology took place on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the promulgation of the decree of the Second Vatican Council on ecumenism.
The meeting, which featured speakers from various Christian communions, aimed to reflect on the efforts to promote Christian unity over the last sixty years, in a climate of sincerity and trust. The entire seminar was conducted in English.

Wednesday, November 13, 2024 (9:30 AM, Giovanni Paolo II Aula), the Study Day on Journalism Coverage of Religions took place. This event was organized by the ISCOM Association in collaboration with the "Journalism & Religious Traditions" Committee and the University.
The aim of this meeting was to compare voices and perspectives of the journalistic profession, to build relationships between media professionals and religious leaders, and to foster a better public understanding of religious phenomena.
