Friday, December 13, 2024, saw the traditional ceremony for the awarding of silver medals to those who have completed 25 years of service at the University, in the presence of the Vice Grand Chancellor, Monsignor Mariano Fazio, and the Rector, Fernando Puig. On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, (from 2:45 PM to 6:15 PM in the Álvaro del Portillo Hall), the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, through its School of Philosophy and the Future Students Department, hosted the 2nd University Orientation Day. The event, entitled Discover and enhance your talent. Choose your path, was the result of a collaboration between the Holy Cross, other civil universities in Rome and Italy, various schools, and numerous high school teachers. A new MOOC (free online course) offered by the School of Communication on Storytelling has been launched on the Discere platform. The course will be available until December 15, 2024. Led by Professor Juan Narbona, who teaches Value Storytelling at the same School of Communication, the course is accessible in Spanish, English, and Italian. Through 12 video lessons, each lasting 3-4 minutes, the importance and power of stories and how to use them in communication are explained. On Thursday, December 5, 2024 (from 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM, Álvaro del Portillo Aula), our University hosted the lessons of the 2nd module of the 8th Edition of the Joint Diploma in Integral Ecology, an initiative shared by the Pontifical Universities and Institutes of Rome to spread the vision and mission of Pope FrancisLaudato si'. From February 19th to May 28th, 2025, every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM, the Schools of Theology and Canon Law are organizing an optional course (3 ECTS) entitled Ecclesial Movements: A Journey of Faith.
