Feast of the University, March 9, 2023, with Mariolina Ceriotti Migliarese
On Thursday, March 9, 2023, the Feast of the University was held in memory of Blessed Álvaro del Portillo, our founder and first Grand Chancellor.
There were many participants, including students, professors, staff, and friends of the university.
A wind duet welcomed guests as they entered the Aula Magna. The musicians were Gregorio Donoso (a student in the School of Theology) and Benedikt Aicher (a student in the School of Philosophy).
After the rector, Luis Navarro, gave his welcome address, a video on the life of Fr. Álvaro was shown. It included scenes from his early years working with the founder of Opus Dei and the day of his beatification in Madrid, September 27, 2014.
Then Dr. Gerardo Ferrara, from the University Student Guidance Office, took the floor to introduce Dr. Mariolina Ceriotti Migliarese, a physician, child neuropsychiatrist, and psychotherapist. The doctor spoke about fathers and children and paths to fatherhood, and answered questions from students and professors.
