The Personal Archives of Joan Baptista Torelló Donated to Our Library; Research Group "Psychology and Spiritual Life" Founded
A few weeks ago, the Joan Baptista Torelló Research Group in Psychology and Spiritual Life was established by the School of Theology’s Department of Spiritual Theology. The personal archive of the scholar, who taught for many years for the department, is on its way from Vienna.
The new Torelló Center’s mission is to deepen the relationship between psychology and spirituality, from an interdisciplinary perspective. The archive’s organization will begin in the coming months, supervised by historian José María López-Barajas, who spent long periods with the Spanish priest, theologian, neurologist, and psychiatrist. Among the archived material are unpublished manuscripts and copious correspondence.
