The academic year is going to start again soon, and we are embarking on this new journey with happy news!
In August 2022, our Giulia Latella won a full scholarship at the University of Navarra! Giulia's academic profile caught the interest of the outgoing Dean of the School for Business and Economics, Ignacio Ferrero, who is one of the business ethics professors. In the past, he was also the thesis coordinator of Marta Rocchi. This scholarship covers Giulia’s entire doctoral program of 3 years in all.
Just a few days ago we also received another great news: the research project that Giulia is developing with Luca won the most prestigious prize the Vatican awards for research in social ethics: the "Centesimus Annus" Award! There will be a ceremony of conferral by Cardinal Reinhard Marx and Giulia will be received by Pope Francis together with the participants at the ceremony. This prize is a research scholarship of 20.000 euros that will support Giulia in the immediate future.
Finally, a nice encouragement is that the paper on Adam Smith’s notion of the virtue of prudence made fruitful for the e-commercial society that Martin, Marta Rocchi, and Richard Turnbull had submitted to the conference of the Irish Academy for Management was nominated as the best paper in CSR, Business Ethics, and Sustainability.
