Presenting a paper
During the Professional Seminar, participants can present short papers in two specific sessions: on Wednesday, January 22 at 6 p.m. and Thursday, January 23 at 4:40 p.m. These are short 20-minute presentations divided by language. Here are the terms:
Possible topics for papers
It is important that papers are in line with the conference theme.
We list below some themes from which to draw ideas and inspiration:
1. General context: Elements facilitating or hindering dialogue on faith; training of believers in communication; Fake news, polarization, hate speech and other current obstacles to debate; Trust and the culture of suspicion; Managing vulnerability and regaining credibility; Secularised contexts and first announcement.
2. The work of the communication offices: Initiatives of the communication offices; Legitimacy of the co office in organizations; Experiences of internal communication; Information actions and transmission of identity; Storytelling and communication of faith; Creation and dissemination of content for evangelisation; The importance of nurturing relationships.
3. Attitudes: Experiences of dialogue and listening; Reflection on communication and clarity; ecumenism and interreligious dialogue; other attitudes that facilitate dialogue on faith.
4. Church-World Topics: Culture of peace; immigration; safeguarding; practical consequences of synodality; giving hope to a "world marked by epochal challenges".
5. Experiences: Challenge of running an information office; evangelisation events; relationship with the media; ways and styles for a relevant and effective communication of the faith.
6. Digital experiences: Dialogue through social media; formation and sensitivity to digital mission; digital platforms and new proposals for evangelisation; influencers and ambassadors of the faith; pioneering experiences of Artificial Intelligence;
Guidelines
Each communication will be given 30 minutes (20' for the presentation and 10' for questions). Participants wishing to present their own communication are kindly requested to prepare an abstract of approximately 1500 characters (including spaces) and upload it to the Conference webpage, through their registration credentials (link), by 9 December 2024. Please do not email the material directly to the Scientific Committee.
The abstract must have a title and be accompanied by five keywords.
Communications can be submitted in Italian, English and Spanish.

Requirements for publication
Full papers must be submitted by 15 February 2025 for evaluation by the Scientific Committee for possible publication in digital format.
The requirements for publication are as follows
- originality of content (it must be a new contribution to research on the topic)
- theoretical approach
- to be within 20,000 characters (footnotes and spaces included)
- adhere to the editorial standards set out in this link (pdf file)
