The course will take place on Tuesday afternoons, from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM, and the methodology will be predominantly practical, following the case-study approach. Professors will send two cases prior to each session so that participants can read them in advance and actively engage in the discussion and resolution process.
From February 18 to April 8, 2025, the first edition of the Course on the Pastoral Care of Forgiveness will be held, aimed at offering practical support to strengthen the ongoing formation of priests as ministers of mercy.
From February 19th to May 28th, 2025, every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM, the Schools of Theology and Canon Law are organizing an optional course (3 ECTS) entitled Ecclesial Movements: A Journey of Faith. The Service of Ecclesiastical Law.
The course is divided into two parts: theological and magisterial foundations (identity, specific characteristics, mission, relationship of movements with particular Churches) and a juridical approach (canonical configuration of movements, legal status of members, governance and formation, prevention and correction of abuses).

Work as a Form of Liturgical Life will be presented by Prof. Stefan Geiger, OSB, from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of Sant’Anselmo.
Prof. Randifer Boquiren from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross will discuss The Eucharistic Dynamism of Sanctification.
Prof. Pietro Angelo Muroni, from the Pontifical Urban University, will address the topic Opus Hominis in the Opus Dei.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes (1965) and as a path of reflection towards the centenary of the founding of Opus Dei (1928-2028), the University is organizing a three-year program of in-depth study, which includes two seminars and an expert meeting each year.

Friday, December 13, 2024, saw the traditional ceremony for the awarding of silver medals to those who have completed 25 years of service at the University, in the presence of the Vice Grand Chancellor, Monsignor Mariano Fazio, and the Rector, Fernando Puig.
The medals, bearing the embossed effigy of the first Grand Chancellor and founder of the University, Blessed Álvaro del Portillo, were awarded this year to Professors José Antonio Araña (Canon Law), Daniel Arasa (Communication), Graziano Borgonovo (Theology), Marc Carroggio (Communication), and Dr. Loretta Sanna from the Publications Office.
