After the success of its first edition in June, 2024, the International Workshop "Transparency and Accountability in the Catholic Church: A Practical Journey" will return for a second edition in Rome from July 15-19, 2025. The workshop will provide Church leaders with practical strategies to enhance transparency, covering topics such as ethical, financial, and cultural transparency. It will also focus on fostering a culture of transparency and equipping leaders with the tools to implement change in their organizations.

The first workshop, held in Rome last June, gathered 31 prominent Church leaders, including a Cardinal, four Archbishops, ten Bishops, and several diocesan and religious administrators, who engaged in meaningful discussions and shared strategies for fostering transparency and accountability within the Church. Building on the insights and feedback from the inaugural event, the second edition aims to empower Church leaders by providing practical, actionable insights to help implement transparency in their organizations and areas of influence.

Lima Conference Sustainability and Integral Ecology

The "Sustainability and Integral Ecology in Business and Law" conference will take place at the University of Piura in Lima, Peru on July 1-2, 2025.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’s ecological encyclical Laudato Si': On Care for the Common Home, we wish to study the implications of “integral ecology” on business and law. This encyclical introduced the term "integral ecology" into official Catholic social teaching, calling for an awareness of the interconnectedness between humans and nature.

Based on the belief in the Creator, integral ecology appeals to our sense of ecological justice and spirituality regarding creation beyond the duty to exercise stewardship for nature. Catholic social thought uses the term “integral ecology” for sustainability. Integral ecology includes the human ecology of faith, family, and the poor. Further, it defines our relationship and commitment to nature in business and law.
