The School of Philosophy is organizing the 26th International Conference on Emotions and Flourishing (February 25–27, 2026), dedicated to exploring theories of emotion and their role in human well-being, with a special focus on the pioneering work of Magda Arnold. The conference, developed within the Human Flourishing project, will provide an interdisciplinary platform to examine the influence of Arnold’s theories—from her cognitive approach to emotions to their intersections with contemporary philosophy and psychology. From 16 February to 18 May 2026, every Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:40 p.m., the Schools of Communication, Theology, and Canon Law are organizing the optional course (2 ECTS) Welcoming Victims of Abuse in the Church. The subject is structured into four modules, corresponding to different perspectives: abuse, trauma, and prevention; accompaniment of victims; the legal framework; and communication aspects. From 18 February to 27 May 2026, every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:40 p.m., the Schools of Theology and Canon Law are offering the optional course (3 ECTS) Ecclesial Movements: A Reality on the Way. The Service of Ecclesial Law. The course is divided into two parts: theological and magisterial foundations (identity, specific characteristics, mission, relationship of movements with particular Churches) and a juridical section (canonical configuration of movements, legal status of members, governance and formation, prevention and correction of abuses). University Life, in collaboration with Imparare Roma, is organizing an archaeological visit to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The itinerary includes a visit to the necropolis and the basilica, with historical and artistic insights, as well as an archaeological walk in the surrounding area. From 17 February to 26 May 2026, every Tuesday from 3:55 p.m. to 5:35 p.m., the School of Theology is organizing a Spanish-language course entitled Autonomía y libertad. Reflexiones sobre la Libertad en la cultura contemporánea, which will be taught by Prof. Ángel Rodríguez Luño. The series of lectures aims to offer a philosophical and theological reflection on the concept of freedom in contemporary culture: from common meanings of freedom as the absence of coercion, to freedom understood as choice, autonomy, and commitment. Through modern and contemporary thought (from Kant to existentialism), the course explores the relationship between freedom, subjectivity, truth, and love, culminating in a Christian vision of freedom
Thursday​, January 29, 2026 (9:00 AM, Room A101), the School of Communication, in collaboration with ISCOM, organized the “Communication Day for the Third Sector”, titled Voices in the Storm: Communicating Nonprofit in Polarized Contexts. The event featured five working sessions, during which seven specialists explored various aspects related to the growing importance of communication processes in nonprofit organizations. The meeting also offered an opportunity to delve into the strategic management of communication within institutions through the presentation of best practice cases. Information
The School of Theology offers courses in the “core” subjects required for the Teaching of Catholic Religion (IRC): Pedagogy and Didactics, Teaching Methodology, School Theory and Educational Legislation, Internship. The courses are offered in a complex learning format (in-person, online, and independent study). For 2026, the scheduled dates are: February 13–14, April 10–11, May 15–16, June 19–20 (Internship).
