"In Search of Happiness" is the theme of UNIV 2023; students from more than a hundred universities around the world gathered in Rome for Holy Week. On Tuesday, April 4, they held an academic session at our university. UNIV is a university forum that has been around since 1968; it was inspired by St. Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei.
 
On Monday, April 3, 2023, in light of the upcoming conference "Women in the Church: Makers of the Mankind" that our university will host March 7-8, 2024, a group of ambassadors and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps to the Holy See participated in a preparatory meeting.  After greetings from Rector Luis Navarro, Academic Vice-Rector Cristina Reyes and Prof. Álvarez, who are part of the conference’s scientific committee, reviewed some of the topics that will be addressed at next year’s conference and presented the names of the women who will be discussed: from Josephine Bakhita to Mother Teresa of Calcutta, from Maria Mackillop to
Volume 8, Issue 1 (2023) of the School of Church Communication's scholarly journal Church, Communication and Culture is available online, which begins with an editorial entitled: “Benedict XVI: A Communicative Style in Dialogue with Culture.” The articles address several topics, including "woke culture" and "Catholic influencers," as well as articles on changes in communication and culture within the public sphere and the Catholic Church.

On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the university hosted an event presenting the National Network of Family Friendly Municipalities, launched in 2017 by the Autonomous Province of Trento together with the Municipality of Alghero and the National Association of Large Families. Organized by the School of Canon Law and the Center for Legal Studies on the Family, the interdisciplinary study day on The Family as a Primary Evangelizing Subject was held on Thursday, March 23, 2023. The initiative was in response to Pope Francis' latest address to families on the World Meeting of Families 2022. From March 16-18, 2023, the university’s School of Theology, together with The Research Group of Relational Ontology (ROR), the University of Notre Dame, the Angelicum, and the Tantur Ecumenical Institute, will hold a Congress entitled Trinitarian Ontology? An Ecumenical Issue. On Friday, March 17, 2023 (12–6:30 p.m., Álvaro del Portillo Lecture Hall), our university will host a day of the Congress with talks by Rowan Williams (Cambridge), Giulio Maspero (Pontifical University of the Holy Cross), and Isidoros Katsos (Oxford).  
On Wednesday, March 15, 2023 (9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Aula Magna Giovanni Paolo II), the School of Church Communications – together with the ISCOM Association – will be hosting a Study Day entitled "Artificial Intelligence: A Challenge for Information."
